Frequently Asked Questions

Who is My Resident Bill and why am I receiving a bill from you instead of the Nex-Gen Management?
My Resident Bill is a water billing service provider that has been contracted by Nex-Gen Management to bill each resident individually for the water used.

How is my bill calculated?
Your resident water bill is made up of multiple line items, which come from the community bills received by Nex-Gen Management. There are two line items on your bill which are calculated based on your water usage: Sewer Service and Water Usage fees.

An effective rate (or average) rate is generated for these line items by adding the total cost for the community and dividing by the total water usage measured.

For example, if the total cost of water usage for the community is $1,000 and there was a total of 10,000 gallons used, the effective rate would be $1,000 / 10,000 gallons = $0.10 per gallon. Your water cost is then calculated by multiplying your usage by the effective rate. In this example, if you used 1,000 gallons of water, your water usage fee would be 1,000 gallons x $0.10 / gallon = $100.

Important Note on Estimated Usage:

Some water submeters were not installed during the initial rollout. If your unit does not yet have a submeter, your bill will reflect estimated usage based on EPA guidelines for average water consumption per resident, factoring in occupancy per unit. Your bill will clearly indicate whether it includes estimated usage.

What is covered by the $8 billing and maintenance fee?
The $8 billing and maintenance fee covers all essential costs associated with accurately measuring, managing, and processing water billing for each unit. Our team handles customer service, account management, and the full billing process to ensure accurate and timely charges that help conserve water.

When is my payment due?
Payment is due 21 days after your bill is sent. The due date will be listed on the invoice.

How frequently will I be billed?
Water billing occurs monthly and your payment due date will be listed on your bill.
